The path of emotions
In a world fascinated by technological development, we propose to explore the emotional development of organizations and a new perspective of approach to generate better performance conditions. Why? Even with a strong technological and financial support, performance suffers due to the state of emotions of people. The difficulties of organizational performance arise from a gap between the volatility of the world, with its unforeseen changes, and the structural capacity of organizations to understand and act in this context of transformation. Technological progress gives us great potential for development. But at the same time, it can turn into a large entertainment that excuses us to address these new conditions.When organizations have difficulties to respond to the demands of context, they press on its human structure to achieve better results. This pressure causes the deterioration of the emotional quality of the people which also affects low levels of productivity and performance. The result is a vicious circle of despair, more pressure, and deterioration in work-life conditions that enlarges the gap of personal and group performance.

Emotional challenges
What are the implications of emotions in collective performance? Human systems are emotional and symbolic systems. We can live together because emotions regulate our relationships and symbols guide our purpose and values. Actually the implications of emotions are much deeper than what is expressed as a single mood or feeling. Emotions define the decisions and the quality of responses in people. In case of organizations, emotional challenge relates to the quality of the answers to face a new historical moment of profound changes in the lives of people..
System's weaknesses
The current weakness of organizations is caused by the approach of emotions. The effect of this superficial, underestimation or carelessness of emotions affects performance. The path of weakness can be a spontaneous sequence of dysfunction that begins with isolated stereotyped behaviors that worsen generating a vulnerable and self-destructive structure. Organizations can fall into the path of weakness for routine, despair, neglect, or negligence. In the way of weakness are three important moments that are installed as the difficulties deepened: Mediocrity (generates automatic and complusive behaviors), Vulnerability (when mediocrity becomes a structural risk affecting the interaction with the context) and Deterioration (when the structural risk becomes a self-destruction pattern).
